Cosmix Freelance Pro Makeup Kit

On the first day of the Beauty module, students receive the professional tools and materials they need to work in a salon, spa, retail store or doctor's office, or to freelance at weddings and special events. These supplies include a canister of professional brushes, makeup products, airbrushing equipment, airbrushing makeup, tools and accessories. Cosmix T-shirts, a Cosmix sweatshirt and a set bag allow students to project a professional image as they train.

Most supplies used in Special FX are distributed as classroom materials. Materials for sculpting and molding are highly specialized and only used under the guidance of an instructor. Supplies include Wed Clay, Chavant Clay, Sculptex, Algesafe, Ultra Cal, Hydrocal, Alcote, Cabosil, latex, Plastigel, Smith's Prosthetic Deadener, Mold Star, Baldiez, flockings, Pros-Aide, isopropyl myristate, gelatin, foam latex products, dental lab stone, dental alginate and Jet acrylic liquid.

Cosplay supplies include EVA foam, Worbla, foam clay, Barge cement and Pros-Aide transfer material.

Photography Fees

Students' work is captured in professional photo shoots including a head shot, a black & white high glamour photo, a fashion editorial shot, an avant-garde masterpiece, a theatrical drag makeup piece, a gory character-themed shoot and a multi-dimensional creature design project.

Our fully equipped photography studio ensures professional quality pictures. This collaboration between artist and photographer is one of the most valuable experiences in each student's training at Cosmix. The end result is the beginning of a diversified portfolio that showcases their talent to land the jobs they want.
